Nic has been in the Foundation Tooling business since he left school at 17. Over the last 40 years he has run manufacturing companies in the UK, Australia, USA, Dubai and Singapore.
Nic previously served as the Executive Vice President and a shareholder of Pengo Corporation, a leading US-based manufacturer of drilling tools. During his time there, he played a critical role in the company’s growth and success in the drilling tools industry. Nic then founded Universal Augers Ltd., which later merged with PRO-DIG in 2013. The company was subsequently rebranded as BROOKER PILING SOLUTIONS (BPS) in 2024. Today, BPS stands as one of Europe’s top manufacturers of foundation drilling tools. Additionally, Nic is closely associated with his sister company, HELICAL PILE SOLUTIONS (HPS), which, along with BPS, supplies many of the major piling and construction companies in the UK and Europe. These companies operate out of a 50,000 sq. ft. facility in Cambridgeshire, England.
Alex joined Helical Pile Solutions in January 2024 as a Finance Manager. Although Alex has only been with us full time since early 2024, he has benefitted from growing up with our sister company Brooker Piling Solutions.
Previously working in finance since 2016 and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 2019. Alex has enjoyed working as an auditor servicing the Cambridgeshire corporate and not for profit market before working for Associated British Foods in their Bakery & Ingredients businesses.
Outside of work Alex is a passionate Peterborough United supporter following them home and away most week with his wife Lottie and brother Henry.
In 2003, Peter was part of the team that introduced helical piles to the UK and has remained at the industry’s forefront ever since.
After 15 years in the helical piling industry, Peter joined Keller, the largest geotechnical specialist in the world, as a Senior Estimator for three and a half years. In his time with Keller, Peter introduced helical piling to Keller UK before leaving in 2021 to join Nic Brooker in setting up Helical Pile Solutions Ltd.
Over the last 18 years, Peter has worked with some of the UK’s leading piling manufacturers and suppliers to apply his knowledge and experience to a wide variety of projects including the 2012 London Olympics and Rampion Offshore Windfarm.
When not working Peter spends most of his time with his wife and two boys. He enjoys taking his boys to play football at their local clubs and other sport activities including mini golf, tennis and swimming. Peter enjoys playing golf himself and regularly takes part with a golf society. When not partaking in sport activities the family loves going out for walks and spending time with family and friends.
Henry joined Helical Pile Solutions in January 2024 as a Sales and Marketing Assistant.
He earned an Undergraduate Degree in International Business Management and a Masters in Governance from the University of Lincoln.
Outside of work, Henry is an avid supporter of Peterborough United, following the team both home and away. Additionally, he is passionate about American Football, having played for four years during his time at university.
